Comfort Hotel Himeji

Good location about 500m from station. Hotel has all the usual range of features typical of Japanese hotels. The room had all the usual amenities as well and was more spacious than other hotel rooms we have had. Room actually had two chairs so one of us didn't have to sit on the bed which we liked. The buffet breakfast was excellent - a mix of Western and Japanese dishes. A convenience store next door to the hotel which is handy. Very nice walk from hotel to Himeji castle via covered arcade. Himeji has good train connections so good place to hub for other centres e.g. Osaka and Okayama if you have the JR pass.

We arrived a little early. However, the hotel staff were more than happy to store our luggage for free while we went out for a few hours. The room was very clean and well organised. The amenities were good. The complimentary breakfast was good, and had a good variety. Location-wise, the hotel was a walkable distance to Himeji station and Himeji Castle. It was great that there was a 7-Eleven right next to it.

The location of the hotel is very good, a few minutes' walk from the metro station, about a 20-minute walk from Himeji Castle and a 4-minute walk from a shopping mall. Outside the hotel there is 7-Eleven store. The room is not big with a comfortable bed and a comfortable desk to work on. There is a good breakfast at the hotel. Great value for money.

Location, great breakfast and evening coffee machine, we used 2 free bicycles to go for a very pleasant and easy to get to ride around the castle moat. We repeated the ride at night to see the castle lit up. We based ourselves at Himeji and took a 20 minute JR ride to Okayama to see the garden and castle. 7 eleven store next door was convenient for an easy meal which we ate at the tables in the hotel. This place is great value for money

Location excellent, close to gardens and castle. Friendly staff, coffee and cold lemonade available in lobby. Very good and varied free breakfast.
